GRACE. COMING BACK HOME
(Insights from a new Grace believer)
Reference Issue One~ March 2000
You have gone through all the motions, you have worked hard at gaining
God's approval, and the approval of your piers. Yet, still something
is missing in your Christian walk. You know your bible inside
out, you have covered every expected area that you feel God has taken you,
and still you feel empty. You have gone to different church's, heard
every imaginable way to maintain your salvation, and yet again, something
is lacking in your life. How many times have you gotten on your knees
and kept asking for forgiveness for the same sins and God just doesn't
seem to hear you. How many times must you keep going to the Alter
and get saved? A pattern seems to be showing here, and well should
it. Clearly somewhere on your Christian walk, man's ideals have taken
away from God's secure promises to you. It happened to me.
And I praise God that His Love and Mercy has opened my eyes to where we
all should be in our Christian walk. I am not 100% in total understanding
of God's word, but what He has revealed to me this past year in His word,
and wonderful teachers,
I just can't thank Him enough. (Ph'p: 4:6-7)
Someone took the time to keep sending me information for many years
on this very subject, and often, I always found peace in this person sharing
of the "Good News." Never for a moment would I realize that God was
preparing me for the greatest NEWS anyone can receive and that is simply
GRACE.
Rightly Dividing?
2 Timothy:2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman
that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth
The haunting words of this scripture only reflected where I should
be and
what is expected to live a life without condemnation, without guilt,
without
fear, without bondage. Thank you Jesus!
Just as All scriptures are for our understanding. 2Tim3:16), ALL of
the
BIBLE is for our reading and understanding. But not ALL of the
Bible is
written to us. Once I got hold of that concept, the OT made sense,
God's
plan made sense, the puzzle pieces started to fit.
Where are we in God's plan? Just as Peter and the other 11 Apostles
were to Israel, Paul was to us, the uncircumcised. Paul reveals a
great mystery, intended for you and I at this time, during Grace.
The Mystery Given to Paul Eph 3: 1-12
Eph:3:1: For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you
Gentiles,
Eph:3:2: If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which
is
given me to you-ward:
Eph:3:3: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery;
as I wrote afore in few words,
Eph:3:4: Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the
mystery of Christ.
Eph:3:5: Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men,
as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
Eph:3:6: That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same
body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Eph:3:7: Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the
grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
Eph:3:8: Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this
grace
given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches
of Christ;
Eph:3:9: And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery,
which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God,
who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Eph:3:10: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers
in
heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of
God,
Eph:3:11: According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ
Jesus our Lord:
Eph:3:12: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the
faith of him.
Paul's Gospel
Ga:2:7: But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision
was committed unto me,
as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter's Gospel
1Cor:15:1: Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which
I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
1Cor:15:2: By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I
preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
1Cor:15:3: For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also
received,
how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Cor:15:4: And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third
day
according to the scriptures.
Our Gospel
How do we get saved again? This is our Gospel? We don't
have to confess our sins? We don't have to ask Him into our heart?
All we simply need to do is Believe? We don't have to repent?
Where did all the additives come from that I was always taught?
Praise God, All we need to do is
BELIEVE that HE Died on the CROSS for ALL
our Sins, yesterdays, today's, tomorrows and He rose again, and we
are
Signed, Sealed, Saved Forever by HIS BLOOD.
Awesome NEWS--.GOOD NEWS.
We are a New Creature
2Co:5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2Co:5:18: And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself
by
Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation
2Co:5:19: To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto
himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed
unto
us the word of reconciliation.
What about Works?
I have heard forever, faith without works is dead, what a guilt trip.
What is key in James is who that scripture is written to.
And key to know where we are in this Grace time.
Eph:2:8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God:
Eph:2:9: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on
him that
justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
What About Laws?
We are no longer under the Law. Says who?, I was never taught
that, instead I was encouraged to keeping the Laws.
Amazing what God's word has to say on that.
We are DEAD to Laws. Romans 7:9
We are Justified by His Blood. Romans 5:9
We have Redemption In His Blood. Eph: 1:7
Washed by the Blood. 1Co:6:11
End of Commandments. 1Tim 1:5-7
What the Law could not do. Romans 8:3-4
Ordinances Blotted out. Col 2:14
By Grace are we Saved. Eph:2:5
End of the Law. Romans:10:4
Have you Returned back under the Law?
So many have forgotten their first love and have returned back under
bondage, I should know I was one of them,
Paul was so clear about these traps in our lives.
Oh Foolish Galatians. Ga3:1-5
Returning back to the Curse. Ga:3:10
So quickly back to laws? Ga: 1:6-9
Once Saved Always Saved?
What about loosing our salvation? Once saved always saved?
Well here is the GOOD NEWS on that.
Nothing can separate us from God. Romans 8-35, Romans 8:
38-39
We have ETERNAL life. 1 John 5:13
Love is the fulfillment of the Law. Romans 13:8
We are SEALED. Eph: 1:13-14
We are Sanctified. 1Cor: 6:11
Unpardonable Sin?
And yet some say, wait what about the unpardonable sin?
Read 2Tim: 2:13
If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
It's a DONE DEAL folks. Praise GOD
In conclusion (for now)
This is but a short touch on all the wonderful Truths God has been
revealing
to me, if you but see one truth that can set you free and set you back
into
rightly dividing His word, I pray this has been of some help.
Just as you know the Father, you will know Him.
John 14:7-10, and just as we
know that Jesus is God as in 1John 5:7-8, I urge you to search deeply
His
word. Praise God for His Love and Mercy.
